By The Bridge - Independent Childcare Organisation

For a long time before 1987, when the Founder of By the Bridge founded the first independent fostering organisation in the United Kingdom, there existed a dire need for this kind of service. To meet this demand there are now over 120 independent providers of foster care in this country. So, why By the Bridge?

The staff team of By the Bridge are amongst the most experienced people working in fostering. Our combined experience ranges from having been fostered, growing up in foster families ourselves, being foster parents for many years to recruiting, training and managing hundreds of foster parents.

Our combination of passion, experience and knowledge, along with expertise in business and financial management, enables us to develop an organisation working with each whole child as our focus - so that is why: 'By the Bridge'!
