CORAM have launched their Voices competition with the theme for 2020 being 'Dreams'.

Voices is a celebration of creativity, talent and imagination. The competition gives children in care a chance to tell people what they want to say about their experiences.

Every year, young people write inspiring stories, poems, raps, and articles, hoping to be shortlisted for an awards ceremony in the Spring.

Entries can be a story, a poem, rap, or newspaper article, a diary entry… anything! As long as it is about ‘Dreams’  and is 500 words or less.

There are four age categories:

  • Primary School (up to 10)
  • Lower Secondary School (age 11-14)
  • Upper Secondary School (age 15-17)
  • Care Leavers  (age 18-25).

Open for children in care and care leavers who are 25 or under.  Click here to enter now.

Competition will close on 12 February 2020.

By the Bridge have had finalists in this competition for the past 2 years and we look forward to all working together to encourage our young people to enter once again.

As before, we will be running our own By the Bridge competition in parallel with this one. There will be a first, second and third prize (£25, £15 and £10) voucher for the overall top three, and a certificate for all of our entrants.
