Foster children to benefit from Cambian’s acquisition of By the Bridge
Therapeutic foster care receives vote of confidence from the leading provider of specialist behaviour health services in the UK.
26 March 2015, London: The Cambian Group, one of the UK’s providers of specialist care and education, today acquired By the Bridge.
Founded by foster parents in 2002, By the Bridge is a specialist, independent fostering organisation with offices in the North West, Eastern, Midlands, South and South East regions. The experienced teams deliver outstanding support for the community, placing children and young people with specialist foster parents who have been through a rigorous selection process and trained so they have the therapeutic skills to support children with complex needs.
This unique approach to fostering has ensured a more stable foster family structure and better outcomes for children and young people with complex needs. Its high quality has earned the company an ‘Outstanding’ in all five areas of the latest OFSTED inspection.
With this acquisition, the local management team will remain unchanged and Nicola Tunbridge, an original founder of the Company who has led By the Bridge over the last seven years will now become Managing Director of the enlarged Cambian Fostering division.
She commented: “I look forward to integrating By the Bridge and Cambian Foster Care into one highly capable and united team to continue to make a significant difference to even more children lives.”
Cambian continually looks for like-minded people to join its fostering family, to help some of the UK’s most vulnerable children achieve their personal best. If you are interested in taking up the challenge or wish to find out more please visit:
