Can I foster if I don't drive?
It is really important that you can meet all of the needs of the child. This will include transporting them to school, contact and meetings.
If you don’t drive or have access to a car then it’s important to think about how you’ll help the children in your care get to school or attend meetings with their birth family. While it does not necessarily stop you from fostering, it is important that you can demonstrate that you are able to meet the needs of a particular child and if you don't drive you will need good access to public transport.
