This is an exciting opportunity to work with By the Bridge with Cambian; an independent and leading fostering organisation with a unique therapeutic approach, providing high quality foster care for children of all ages and abilities.



The Role


This role is to enable the ongoing development of our high quality fostering service.  Working directly for our Head of Quality, the Service Development Manager will help ensure that the fostering service delivers the highest quality outcomes to our children.  You will help oversee the quality of processes and delivery of best practice across the fostering service.  There will be a range of day to day responsibilities for monitoring and reporting in relation to quality and development.





Ideally you will have a breadth of experience working in fostering and have a good understanding of the regulatory framework and fostering legislation, as well as a wider understanding of the sector.  Previous experience of management within the fostering sector would be advantageous, though not essential.  You will have the vision to identify opportunities for improvement to services and the tenacity and skill to make these a reality.  You will also have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable in service development as well as in compliance of the service, helping to oversee policy, procedure, quality/development initiatives and audit functions to ensure the highest levels of compliance.


You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience; this may be in social work or another relevant field.  Your IT skills will be of an excellent standard, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, CRM databases, as part of the role requires collation of statistics, drafting reports, and evidencing outcomes.  You will be a confident, engaging and approachable individual with excellent communication skills and motivated to succeed.


You will ideally be located in Kent, based from our Sittingbourne office, with regular travel to our regional offices, however flexibility with location may be considered for the right candidate. 



The package


We offer a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience, a discretionary annual bonus, private healthcare, pension, life insurance, generous annual leave, and a great working environment.
