Respite
Each year you will be entitled to a maximum of 21 nights respite per young person - utilising our large pool of experienced Foster Parents or by your own friends and family. 14 days of respite can also be re-claimed if unused.
FosterTalk Membership
Free Membership of FosterTalk which includes: free advice lines covering finance, education, counselling, personal advice and special discounts. This package also includes special discounts on a wide range of products and services, from insurance to theme park tickets to holidays.
Long Service Rewards
We've teamed up with 'Red Letter Days', to provide Foster Parents with the opportunity to have a memorable experience as a ‘Thank You’ from By the Bridge for all your hard work. We want you to know that we value you, and giving you a day out to make you feel special is a way for us to show you our appreciation. For each of the years you qualify for the reward, you will receive the Red Letter Day voucher and a cash bonus for spending money too.
Refer a Friend scheme
We will reward you for referring a friend or family member who go on to foster with By the Bridge. Even if you are in the process of switching to us! Terms and Conditions apply, please contact us for further details.
Extra Work
There are also opportunities to use your fostering skills and knowledge to do extra work with By the Bridge, such as supervising contact between children and their birth families, or being an Appropriate Adult for a child who is in trouble.
Foster Child and Family Events
We arrange loads of activities and events for you, your foster children and your own family to all take part in, organised and paid for by By the Bridge. From craft afternoons, summer fun days, outings, theme park trips and festive parties (some just for Foster Parents too). There is always something to do every school holiday and to take part in.
It’s all about strengthening relationships and building the team that we’re all proud to be a part of.
